For more than five decades, your organization has been an embodiment of the spirit of brotherhood and unity. You enrich and empower your members to be “Seekers of the Right” and uphold the value of justice and democracy as exemplified by your illustrious alumni such as former Senate President Jovito Salonga.
I would also like to congratulate your organization for providing a venue to convene your chapters and councils to fortify the foundation of your fellowship, and nurture your members in a fraternal environment that contributes positively in nation-building.
This is especially important in times when our values and democratic institutions are being challenged. We should not wait for the time that all our liberties have already been lost before we act and fight for what is just and right.
Binubuklod tayong lahat hindi lamang ng kinabibilangang partido, politika o kapatiran, kundi ng ating pagiging Pilipino. Sa panahon ng kadiliman, maging liwanag tayo ng pag-asa at pagkakaisa. Sa panahon ng sigalot, maging tagapagtaguyod tayo ng kapayapaan at katarungan. Sa lahat ng pagkakataon, tumindig tayo para sa katotohanan at kapakanan ng ating mga kababayan.
