The call to investigate irregularities and possible corruption on the construction of sports facilities for the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games is about accountability of the government officials involved. IT DOES NOT INVOLVE OUR ATHLETES.

Sabi ng Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC), meron. Sabi ng Commission on Audit (COA), meron.

We are accountable to our athletes and our countrymen to see to it that our resources are properly spent in accordance with law. I call on my colleagues at the Senate to perform our mandate and proceed with this investigation, as pushed by Sen. Risa Hontiveros in a Privilege Speech, and likewise the subject of an earlier Resolution of mine, P.S. Res. No. 555.
