Sen. Risa Hontiveros has graciously and admirably taken on the task of securing and shepherding the witnesses in the killing of Kian Loyd delos Santos.

And it appears that SOJ Aguirre and PAO Chief Acosta are not happy about that; their own offer to secure said witnesses having been flatly rejected.

Instead of casting aspersions on the motivation of Sen. Risa as handler of subject witnesses, Aguirre and Acosta must ponder on why witnesses do not seem to trust them.

It is a sad reality that witnesses no longer trust the government’s Witness Protection Program as statutorily administered by the DOJ.

For good reason, I guess. Instead of pursuing its all-important and sensitive mandate in helping serve the ends of truth and justice, the WPP under Aguirre, assisted by Acosta, has become a haven for drug lords (e.g. Kerwin Espinosa) and convicts turned witnesses, mostly coerced, who have been utilized for the regime’s insidious designs of harassment and persecution. ###
