Opposition Senator Leila M. de Lima has called on the Filipino electorate to think of the country’s future in the next three to six years by campaigning for candidates with competence, good credentials, and policy positions on national issues.

With roughly two weeks left before the May 13 elections, De Lima maintained that the public should work closely together in exposing the lies of unscrupulous candidates and revealing their true character before the Filipino people.

The lady Senator from Bicol urged the voting public to reject national and local candidates who continue to refuse to speak up against wanton abuses and unabated killings, especially on Mr. Duterte’s war on drugs that have killed thousands of Filipinos.

De Lima further warned voters against senatorial candidates with records of anomalies and corruption even as she challenged them to refuse to support candidates who are obviously willing to surrender the country’s sovereignty to foreign power.

De Lima has consistently warned the public against administration senatorial candidates including Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Go, Francis Tolentino and Bong Revilla, who have no qualms peddling lies in exchange for votes in the upcoming elections. The lady Senator from Bicol has also unfailingly backed the united opposition’s eight-man senatorial lineup Otso Diretso, all of whom she maintained are more than qualified to lead the country with their sterling track record and proven competence.
